Big Bang Flag

About this Artwork

The Big Bang Flag has the exact same dimensions as the flags that fly on the Harbour Bridge in Sydney, 12 x 6 metres. Flags generally represent strong beliefs, pride or nationalism. The ‘Bang’ flag is widely recognised and represents a nonsensical message. It is the foil of the would be villain in popular animations and here evokes a sense of large scale destruction upended. The Big Bang Flag was hung on the Federation Square car park wall opposite the train tracks. It was viewed by over 250,000 commuters a day.
