This is a genuinely laudable initiative! It makes Melbourne THE city for artists and writers. I commute everyday, and I always look out for the poetry.

By the way, how do we submit poems?

It’s a pleasure to drop in to the site, here and to Facebook to share a haiku or two or three, or a little poem, and then to read some of the fine work that gets submitted..
You play a fine role in this City of Literature
as you spread the words, the imaginative worlds around…

Whenever I see a poem or art on a train carriage wall my heart is lifted and I am inspired.
More Please!
We need to do away with graffiti and consumerism on public transport.

Thankyou for an amazing poem by Alana Kelsall on my train home today. So much to think about - with so much time on a very slow train! Please keep going with this project. I am happy to pay more tax to rid us of the need for public transport advertising and encourage everyone to become an artist.

Yes please! More thoughtful or comical artwork… less advertising. Brilliant.

It would be nice if you would consider expanding geography submissions to universal

I think the spreading of poetry and art is a wonderful thing for Melbourne...Seeing it in public transport lifts you up out of the ordinary into the extraordinary, helps you see into details of everyday life in our city. It’s inspirational to see creativity at work. It’s happy, hopeful thing!

Thanks so much for the art on the walls of the trains!  It’s the very best thing about Melbourne transport.  I prefer the poetry, but all art is good.  Keep it coming!  I feel closer to my fellow Melbournians because of it.  The poems do not even need to be good, I still like them.  Although some are incredibly good.  Keep up the supply, please.

I think this is a great project and really innovative. What a fabulous way to bring art and poetry to the public. Well done and keep it going.

I love Moving Galleries. I take the train to and from work every day, and always read the poems I can see - even if I’ve read them travelling before! I really enjoy finding a new poem I’ve not come across. It’s a fantastic thing to do, expose poetry this way, and it beats advertising by MILES.

Really admire the artworks and those short poems on the train. Infact every cabin on every train should have one. I always look out for one when i get on the train...Leaves me thinking & wondering...!!

at least reading the poems gives me something a little more enriching than reading mX! thanks for giving my commute a creative flavour.

This is an enriching and inspiring contribution of words and artwork that makes the journey in the uncomfortable peak hour crowds more comfortable. What a novel way of showcasing talent.
Thank you.
